Eid Al-Adhha - The sacrifice of the Lamb

Eid Al-Adhha marks the anniversary of Abraham's attempt to sacrifice his son Ishmael on God's orders. People celebrate this dates with a "feast of sacrifice".
Many people, especially in poor neighbourhoods, cannot afford to buy a lamb, but borrow money from their relatives or friends to buy it. Most of the meat is shared with family and neighbours, but one-third is given to the poor. During these dates it is common to see men na dlambs sharing any mean of transport.
